Talkeetna Alaska: A Railroad Town On The Parks Highway
Log cabins, historic railroad buildings, and riverfront walks are all part of the Talkeetna scene. This town was a railroad village, isolated from the road until 1964, when it was connected to what is now the Parks Highway. It offers a wonderful view of historic Alaska buildings, and has several small museums, and National Park Service visitor center, places to walk and eat – and phenomenal road and aerial views of Denali.
